How it works

PEACE OF MIND: alarms in case of an anomaly,

when you are not on board.

By installing Web-Yacht on your boat you will have FROM HOME:

  • vision of all instruments such as depth, wind, sea state, battery charge, etc., in real time, on a graph 12 hours / 48 hours / 7 days, or in the history.
  • boat and yacht burglar alarm system with control with signaling and remote alarm of intrusions.
  • alarms on presence of smoke, battery charge level, 220V presence, etc
  • you can receive messages on your mobile phone or alert other people in case of an alarm
  • you can turn on or off utilities on board such as refrigerator, lights, air conditioning, etc.
  • complete history of all data and in particular those of navigation

Web-Yacht connects through the cellular network, transmitting and receiving in real time all the navigation data, and the command of the utilities.

Installation procedure of Web-Yacht

Web-Yacht usually goes installed behind the yacht’s electric pannel. In can be in any position, following the available space.

Connection:

  • 12V power (or 24V following the model you chose)
  • 2 outputs that you connect to 2 devices that you will like to control remotely (switch on/off fridge, A/C or Webasto, bilge pump, lights, engine enabling, battery charger)
  • 2 inputs that you connect to 2 devices that you wish to endow of an alarm  * (shore power, magnetic contact, water in the bilge, infrared sensor)
  • To the yacht’s instruments:
    • NMEA 0183
    • Seatalk/Raymarine: with the additional convertor module WY-CNV-ST
    • NMEA 2000: on the NMEA2000 backbone , you only need a “T” and a male-female cable NMEA2000

*Note that, by default, Web-Yacht allows to set alarms on any instrument data: tracking and geofencing, anchor, depth, wind’s strenght and direction, battery level)

The “additional modules” of 2 inputs, 2 outputs and 8 outputs allow you to add remote controls and/or alarms.

Main Features

NMEA0183, SeaTalk and NMEA 2000

Web-Yacht is connected to all on-board instruments.

It is endowed of an NMEA0183 interface that receives all navigation data such as wind strenght and direction, compass, boat speed, water depth, position and GPS.

In “additional modules”, there are two specific interfaces that allow Web-Yacht to be connected to SeaTalk instruments (Raymarine world) and the new NMEA2000 installations.

Sensors

Web-Yacht can be connected to magnetic contacts, infrared sensors, floater or other sensors, to monitor their status remotely and receive an alarm in case of ignition.

Accelerometer, barometer and GPS

Web-Yacht is equipped with its own internal GPS to be always able to indicate the location, course and speed, whether in port, at anchor or at sea. Web-Yacht also features a barometer and an accelerometer to  send barometric information and swell status.

Remote control of equipment on board

Through the output lines, Web-Yacht allows you to remotely turn on or off the refrigerator, air conditioning, music, dim the lights, etc…

With expansion modules that you install wireless you can control up to 18 devices.

Alarms

Web-Yacht allows you to set alarms and receive an SMS (on more numbers) in case of intrusion, strong wind, rough sea, compass, low battery, etc … Each alarm can be activated or excluded, remotely via App or Web, or on the spot, acting on the Web-Yacht buttons.

Geofencing

On the map you can define free-hand specific areas (such as mooring quay, the harbor entrance, or a whole region) and receive alerts if the boat enters or leaves these areas.

Historical Database

Web-Yacht works like a ‘black box’: all data are stored on the server, to be always available when needed.

The route is drawn by points, and for each sample it indicates all the navigation data (depth, speed, wind, course, etc.)

Web Portal and App control

Web-Yacht is controlled and managed through the portal (so via browser) or via our App (IOS or Android). The portal shows all historical data, without storage limit. The handy app allows you to have an eye on the dashboard of the boat, with no need to access the Web. Upon installation, Web-Yacht will create a dedicated database for each connected yacht and the release of an account (login and password) valid for both the portal and the App to allow a restricted and confidential access to their information.
